The club captains of all William Hill Premiership clubs were welcomed to Barclays Hampden by the Scottish FA Referee Operations department on Monday, for a meeting with some of Scotland’s top match officials.

This followed the successful meetings held between the two groups last season, with the excellent support and assistance of PFA Scotland.

Monday’s meeting once again provided an opportunity for match officials and club captains to engage in open and honest dialogue while discussing a variety of relevant topics.

The meeting forms part of the ongoing work between Referee Operations and PFA Scotland to strengthen collaboration between match officials and players, improve understanding of refereeing directives and how the Laws of the Game are applied, and provide match officials with valuable insight from a footballing perspective through the views and experiences of the players.
