UEFA Nations League: Group B1 North Macedonia v Scotland Saturday, 3 October 2026 - 7:45pm kick off (UK time) Nacionalna Arena Toše Proeski, Skopje

Sebastien Pocognoli's Scotland are on their travels again, with North Macedonia the latest opponents in Skopje.

Scotland will train at Lesser Hampden on Friday before flying out ahead of the match which kicks off at 7:45pm on Saturday in the Nacionalna Arena Toše Proeski.

The Scots impressed - particularly in the second half - in a goalless draw against Slovenia last weekend, but an early red card for Jack Hendry proved critical in a loss to Switzerland on Tuesday night at Barclays Hampden.

Scotland will be hoping to bounce back in Skopje against a North Macedonia side who are also searching for their first victory in the UEFA Nations League.

Team News

Scotland captain Andy Robertson is expected to make his 100th Scotland appearance on Saturday evening, twelve and a half years on from his debut against Poland in March, 2014.

John McGinn, meanwhile, could move into third place on the all-time Scotland caps list. The midfielder made his 91st appearance on Tuesday night to move level with Jim Leighton.

Previous Meetings

Scotland's first trip to Skopje was one to forget as George Burley's side lost 1-0 in 2009, although there are more fond memories from win over Macedonia in the same city in 2013, with Ikechi Anya and Shaun Maloney on target in a 2-1 victory.

We also enjoyed a 2-0 home victory over Macedonia at Hampden in 2009, with Scott Brown's header given Scotland the lead before James McFadden scored an incredible solo goal to seal the points, although a 1-1 home draw with the same opponents in 2012 proved damaging at the start of Craig Levein's tenure.

How to Watch

The match will once again be live on BBC2 Scotland and the BBC Scotland website, with coverage from 7:30pm.

Tickets

While away tickets for the away match against North Macedonia are sold out, tickets remain for the match against Slovenia at home on Tuesday night, as well as the home match against North Macedonia in November.
