It may be just 70 days since Celtic's 3-1 victory over Dunfermline Athletic in the Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup Final, but the fresh season is already upon as, with the action kicking off on Saturday in the First Preliminary Round in the men's competition.

Owing to the increased number of licensed clubs competing, there will be three Preliminary Rounds this season, with the latter two rounds taking place on the weekend's of Saturday, 22 August and Saturday, 12 September.

There are two Scottish Cup debutants competing in Preliminary Round One, with Whitletts Victoria - who received the club licence earlier this year - hosting Sauchie Juniors, while North of Scotland Football League Premier League champions Stonehaven travel to Glenafton Athletic to make their Scottish Cup bow.

Shortlees Amateurs were victors in the Scottish Amateur Cup Final at Barclays Hampden last season and they will compete in the Scottish Cup for the second time after an appearance in 2018. They host Dundee North End, who enjoyed an impressive run to the Third Round two seasons ago.

Hawick Royal Albert entertain Penicuik Athletic while Jeanfield Swifts visit St Andrews United in the round's other ties.
