The Scottish Cup Third Preliminary round saw no fewer than 40 goals across ten ties with drama throughout. The tie of the round took place in West Lothian as Stonehaven made the trip to the Purdie Worldwide Community Stadium at New Murrayfield Park, and with seconds remaining it looked like they would be exiting the competition, only for two goals in injury time saw them return to the North East in jubilant mood. There was late drama at the Synergy Arena as well as Jordan Baird netted on 86 minutes after Camelon had battled back from two goals down to level the tie, only for the home side to grab a spot in the next round late on. Drama wasn't in short supply in Penicuik either as Cuikie battled back from a 3-0 deficit at half time, with second half goals from Sean Stewart, Joe Viola, Daryl Healy and a winner from Niall Kemp saw them secure a spot in the draw for the next round.
