The Scottish Gas Men's Scottish Cup got underway properly this weekend as 30 First Round ties took place across the country.
The weekend kicked off on Friday evening as Cumnock hosted Auchinleck Talbot in a reverse of their First Round clash from last season. The result was also reversed, with Cumnock avenging their 2-1 loss last year by winning 2-0 through goals from Mark Russell and Ryan Edgar.
The other 29 ties took place on Saturday and Scottish Cup debutants Renfrew recorded a superb 3-2 victory over Broxburn Athletic, with Alan Cook, Sean Fyfe and Kenzie McCrystal all on target.
The Scottish Cup had travelled to Stonehaven as the first installment of our Voices of the Cup series, but they were unable to win on their first appearance in the competition, slipping to a 2-1 defeat to Highland League side Keith.
Kirkintilloch Robroy were another debutant side and they put up a valiant effort against Banks O'Dee before falling to a penalty shoot-out defeat after a 1-1 draw.
Linlithgow Rose had edged Clydebank to the Lowland League title last season but the Bankies gained some revenge, of sorts, as Aidan Callaghan's second half goal gave them a 1-0 away victory.
Brora Rangers were the days top scorers, with James Anderson and Connor Bunce both bagging hat-tricks in a 9-0 defeat of Rothes.
Gretna 2008 won the battle of north against south as they made the nine hour round trip worth it by securing a 1-0 win through a solitary Liam Lamonby goal.
There were also wins for Pollok, Musselburgh Athletic and Brechin City - all sides who have enjoyed impressive cup runs in recent seasons.

The Second Round Draw will be live at 5pm on the Scottish Gas Scottish Cup Youtube Channel.
The draw will be made by Graeme Shinnie, who captained both Aberdeen and Inverness Caledonian Thistle to Scottish Cup triumphs, in 2015 and 2025.
