Scotland Women’s Under-17 squad kick off their European qualifiers next month and Michael Tuohy has named his squad for round one.
The young team go into the first games of the cycle off the back of two impressive performances against the European Champions, Germany earlier this month. The sides faced off in a friendly double-header, with Scotland holding the visitors to a 1-1 draw before beating them 2-1 in the final match.
Earlier this year, Scotland retained their ‘League A’ status for another year following victories over Switzerland and Greece, narrowly missing out on this summer’s EURO finals after finishing second in the group behind Norway.
Next month’s European Championship qualifiers kick off against Finland, Romania and Ukraine with the round one mini-tournament hosted in Scotland.
Scotland Women’s Under-19s also return to action next month in the Slovenia Cup.
Gary Doctor has named a 20-player squad that will travel to Ljubljana to face Croatia and Slovenia in a friendly double-header ahead of their Euro qualifiers which get underway in November.
