Bulgaria v Scotland UEFA Under-21 Championship Qualifying Tuesday, 6 October, 2026 (5:30pm kick-off, UK time) Stadium Georgi Benkovski, Pazardzhik, Bulgaria Following their impressive display against visitors Azerbaijan at the BBSP Rugby Park stadium in Kilmarnock, the young Scots head for Bulgaria to bring their Under 21 qualification group to a close. While the Scots will miss out on qualification to the Championships in Albania and Serbia next summer, there are still qualification pot seedings to play for, and with momentum with them after the game in Kilmarnock, they are looking to end the group on a high. With a number of players within the squad playing their final Under 21 game, they'll be looking to show their talents for the final time. Similarly, a number of players will be looking to stake a claim for the upcoming campaign, as they seek to impress the new management team of Tony Docherty and Steven Naismith. Team News A number of players have departed the 21s squad since visiting Kilmarnock, with Jeremiah Chilokoa-Mullen, Daniel Kelly, Dire Mebude, Emilio Lawrence, Ben McPherson, Taylor Steven and Liam McFarlane returning to their clubs to return full training with them. In addition to this, Findlay Curtis has returned to the Men's A-Squad ahead of their game against Slovenia at Hampden, joining Kristi Montgomery. Tony Docherty has drafted Corey Shaw in to the squad for the first time, moving up from the Scotland Under-19 squad that played against Finland, Czechia and Ukraine at the end of September.
